An Interferometric method for identifying two spatially coherent and very near amplitude-only objects is shown. The objects should be of similar shape but can be different in size or transmissions. By analyzing the Fourier spectrum of the intensity distribution of the Fraunhofer interferogram they produce, it is possible to count the structures and, in certain cases, to reconstruct them. Such a procedure is more useful than the visual inspection or direct fringe analysis of the interferograms.
